About Dunlop
Dunlop was a small family-owned company that grew to become a leading manufacturer of effects, picks, capos, strings, slides and many other musical instrument accessories. Hence legendary products including the Crybaby Wah and Tortex picks. Picks From the famous nylon Tortex to the innovative Ultex. Dunlop produces over 50 models of picks with a huge range of textures, shapes, materials and designs, so as to offer each player his own personalized imprint. Dunlop also produces picks with custom designs upon request. CryBaby Wah Wah When you step on a Crybaby, you're given the same freedom of expression that inspired the most legendary songs and solos of all time. Guitar legends like Jimi Hendrix and Slash have used the Crybaby Wah as an integral part of their sound. It's no wonder then that the Crybaby is still the best-selling wah pedal in the world today. From humble beginnings, the Crybaby has become an essential ingredient for the musician's creativity. Dunlop has always worked to improve every aspect of this extraordinary Wha, from the highest quality components and vast options to the heart of the effect, the FASEL inducer, responsible for his unique and expressive voice. Today Dunlop offers over 15 different models each with its own unique sound. Ropes Dunlop strings are designed, developed and manufactured at the Benicia factory. Using state-of-the-art machinery, our designer Les O'Connor, formerly of DR String and Black Diamond Strings, leads the Dunlop design team to bring Dunlop's vision of its strings to life. Not being tied to the old string formula of the 60's, Les has taken a more modern and scientific approach to design. By listening to all the feedback from touring artists, Les was able to design a string that was right for the modern guitarist. Using traditional high quality materials and metals, Dunlop manufactures uncoated strings in standard gauges. Way Huge Launched in 1992 by George Tripps, Way Huge Electronics quickly made headlines among Southern California guitarists and began to define the boutique effects market. At the end of 1999, with 15 models under his belt, Tripps closed the company to devote himself to something else and hone his skills. Demand for Way Huge products has soared and the price of the products at auctions have reached thousands of dollars in some cases. In 2006 Dunlop welcomed Tripps and Way Huge into the family. Thus Tripps had the opportunity to make Way Huge Electonics what he had always wanted, having at his disposal a team and a dedicated production plant. Since that time Dunlop has helped Way Huge Electronics, with their warm, vintage tone, push them into the mass market at an affordable price point.
